Are you Freezing in Front of the Camera?

One of the most common reasons people avoid being visible is fear.

You turn on the camera and all these thoughts start taking over. What if people don’t like me? What if I don’t like how I look? What if I don’t really know what I’m talking about? I want you to take a deep breath and put all of that aside. Focus on speaking to one person at a time and how you can help them through the pain they’re feeling right now.

This week on ILTV, I shared how you can overcome your fear of being visible.

In This Episode:

[00:40] It all boils down to fear

[01:07] Nerves mean you’re doing something  meaningful

[01:26] Video is not about you

[01:50] Picture the one person you’re trying to reach

[02:31] Video is a muscle

Key Takeaways

  • It’s normal to be nervous
  • Being afraid can be a good thing
  • Talk to one person at a time
  • The more you’re visible, the easier it will become
