5 Tips to Get Your Inspiration Back!

My business is called Inspired Living, so I do my best to stay inspired and always look on the bright side. Inspired means “in spirit,” so it’s important to stay connected and true to who I am and the vision of the company.

But let’s face it, not every day is rainbows and lollipops. Some days I just don’t feel inspired! Luckily, there are 5 things I do when my inspiration tank is running on empty and they work like a charm. So if you’re in a rut and could use some inspiration, don’t only watch more Inspired Living TV, watch this video and take notes, because this could be a total life-changer!

Tip 1 – Environment

If you’re feeling a little uninspired, take a look around. Our environment is a big component of how we feel. So take notice, do you have piles of paper on your desk? Is your office a mess? Or do you not have an office so you’re using the kitchen sink? Whatever you’re doing, whatever you’re around, take a look and ask yourself, “am I inspired by what’s around me?”

Maybe it’s just changing things up – cleaning your office, adding a new photo or a lamp to help you see a little better – it’s all about perspective. If we’re in an environment that doesn’t fuel us, it’s going to deplete us.

Tip 2 – Collaborate

As an entrepreneur, we’re usually working for ourselves by ourselves. Even if we have a team. I have the most incredible team and they’re spread throughout the country. So this year I’m on a mission to collaborate more. No one wants to be at the top of the mountain trying to lead something without a tribe to do it with us.

So get on the phone, go to coffee, go to lunch. These are things I would have never advised you to do early on because they take so much time. But if you’re in an inspiration drought, don’t just read a book and listen to a podcast. Those things can be great, but you need some heart-to-heart conversations with people that will help you see something through a different lens to help you get a different outcome. When I look back on some of the key things that have really moved the dial within my business, it’s been collaboration.

I think this next one is tough for a lot of us to do.

Tip 3 – Shhh…

Be quiet. We’re in a place in the world where it’s

“Go go go!” “Put out videos! Put out blogs! Launch next week! Build your team! Do do do!”

We’re on this treadmill of life and we forget to be still. When you’re feeling worn out it’s almost impossible to feel inspired.

One of the things I learned while I was pregnant was how to meditate. I’m still not the best at it, but I appreciate the quiet. I appreciate being connected. I put on my Calm app or listen to my incredible friend, Sabrina Heartsong and her meditations. Twenty minutes of stillness in the day opens up things that you would never know needed to be opened up! It’s when our mind is closed that we lack inspiration. So be quiet and allow your mind to expand.

Tip 4 – Attend an Event

When you go to an event that’s full of like-minded people and you’re learning new things, we all know inspiration comes full flow. It’s honestly why I put together the Brilliant event – I love to see the inspiration, the collaboration, the ideas, and transformation that come through those two and a half days of learning from other seven and eight-figure businesswomen.

So whether it’s my event, someone else’s event, or maybe you want to throw your own event – just get out there and surround yourself with like-minded people who are doing great things in the world.

Tip 5 – Get into Service

Last but not least, when we’re in a rut, let’s get out of ourselves – out of ego – and get into service.

Donate time at a shelter or a hostel. Go pick up garbage on the beach. Do something that makes you feel like you’re giving back. I know it sounds cliche but you really get what you give. And when you can take time out once a month to give your time to a local charity, to underprivileged kids or anyone in need, I promise, you will come back feeling inspired and grateful for everything that you have in your life.

We are so fortunate to be able to dream. To be able to truly create whatever it is that we see for ourselves. Sure, it’s not easy, but being inspired is one of the key components to building what it is that you dream about every day.

So take these 5 things and see what you can implement today! See what will inspire you and your community, not just for tomorrow, but for the rest of the year.

I would love to hear from you!

If you are feeling inspired – AWESOME! Please take a moment and share this video with someone you care about.

As always, thank you so much for being here. Being inspired comes down to you. What actions you take, and how you feel every day so remember to Dream it. Live it. BE it!

Until next time,
