I had a breakdown…

Spring is one of my favorite times of year. I love that the flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and daylight lasts a little longer. It is also a good time for me to check-in with myself and my business to gauge how things are going and re-organize…spring cleaning at its best! Just like mother-nature, my business has been growing and blooming in ways I never imagined. This week I went from a breaking down into tears with my team to on fire about what we are creating and what I am doing. Yes- it can in fact be messy, but growing pains are a part of the ebb and flow of life. In this video I talk about 4 things you can do to work through your growing pains and breakthrough to where you want to be. Watch the video below.

  1. Rest and re-group. The roller coaster of emotions can take such a toll on your mind and body, to a point where you can physically get sick. Take a deep breath and step back. By removing yourself from the situation for a while, you can re-visit with a clearer state of mind and understand what is driving the flux of emotions.
  2. Do not be afraid to ask for help. We all are on our own unique path and we will face our own unique challenges, but you do not need to be in this alone. Reach out to your team (whether that is friends, family, or co-workers). Carrying the weight of the load on your own, will only break you down.
  3. Grow and connect with like-minded people. Joining a networking group is essential for your growth. The guidance, support and motivation from people who have a similar mind-set as you, will rejuvenate you in ways your team cannot.
  4. Be kind to yourself-Stop beating yourself up. You don’t need to know all the answers now. You don’t always need to be strong. Remember, most often things fall apart before they can actually fall in to place.

Questions for you:

Are you going through any growing pains?

What helps you move through the “breakdown”?
