Congratulations! You’ve recorded some videos! This is a great step in growing your business this year.
Now that you have quality content to share with the world, the question becomes – Where do I put these videos and how do I share them with my audience?
I know, it is a LOT to think about and our clients ask this question all the time. In today’s video, I’m going to share the TOP 5 places to post your videos to get the exposure, impact, and income that you’re looking for.
Place #1: YouTube
YouTube alone has over one BILLION views of video – every, single, day. Uploading videos regularly onto your YouTube channel has a lot of benefits. It can increase your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and it will give your videos a higher chance of showing up when someone searches a topic you’ve recorded a video on.
Place #2: Facebook
Facebook is quickly expanding its video platform. As a result, Facebook “rewards” people who share organic content with more views in the newsfeed. Organic content means that you are posting a video directly to Facebook rather than posting a link to someplace else, like your website or YouTube channel.
Pro Tip: Record a Facebook Live!
Place #3: Instagram
Instagram is one of my favorite places to share video! Instagram recently launched IGTV which allows users (like you and I) to post full length videos to our instagram profiles. We’re still playing with this tool but our favorite way to use video on Instagram is through Instagram stories. Those short 15 second clips are just long enough to keep your audience’s attention and quickly get them to engage with you. It also gives them a behind the scenes peek into your business and life.
Pro Tip: When you have a full video, you can slice it up into 15 second clips and share those on your Instagram stories.
Place #4: On Your Website or Blog
The whole goal of posting your videos to other places – like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram – is to drive people back to your website! Posting the videos on your website will increase the likelihood of someone staying on your website and watching another video that you’ve done – thus helping them get to know you even better.
Place #5: LinkedIn or Twitter or Pinterest
The fifth place to upload your videos is dependent on who you serve.
- If you serve organizations or business professionals then LinkedIn may be the right place for you.
- If your audience wants quick simple tips then Twitter may be an amazing place to repurpose your videos.
- If you’re someone who does really wonderful visuals or tutorials and your ideal client loves to do-it-themselves, then Pinterest is the right place for you.
Now it’s your turn to put these tips into action!
Where are you currently posting your videos and how often are you sharing them?
Do you have all these channels set up? If not, tell me the ONE action you’re going to take to make your videos more visible online?
Afterall, what’s the point of doing video if no one can find them?!
If this was helpful to you, I’d love it if you’d take a moment to share this video. Because when you are inspired, you inspire others.
Thanks for tuning in!
Until next time,
Keri
