Have you ever wanted something so bad in your life, whether it was a relationship or a job, and it just didn’t happen? I grew up in the entertainment industry where hearing “No”, “your not right” etc. was much more common than “YES” ever was. Bouncing back from rejection is not easy but if you can make some small mindset shifts you will feel much more in your power.
The let down is not always easy and it took me a while to change my mindset around “rejection.” If you are like me, you’ve been let down more than once in your life. How do we move past feeling rejected? It’s so easy to think,”What’s wrong with me?!”
In this short video I share 3 simple tips that will help you bounce back and keep you moving forward towards your dreams.
1. Don’t take it personally– I know this is really hard. When you want something that you have been pining over and they pass you up, it is really easy to look into the mirror and ask yourself “what is wrong with me?!”. However, when you understand that it is not personal, you will be able to move forward faster.
2. There is a greater reason-Sometime, we cannot see the forest for the trees. When you realize that it wasn’t the right relationship or it wasn’t the right job, you can free yourself up and understand there is something much greater waiting for you. Stop focusing on what didn’t work, and start focusing on what can work!
3. Your chance to evolve– I believe taking personal responsibility in your life is a huge proponent of what shows up. Ask yourself “what did I do, or how did I contribute to this happening?” Perhaps you do not have the skills that you need for that job? Or maybe you weren’t the right partner for that particular person? Whatever you may be going through where you feel rejected, try and look within yourself. Don’t take it personally, get the ego out, and really look at how you can evolve. “How can I become better?” “What other skills and attributes can I bring into my next relationship or my next opportunity?”
Rejection is just a mindset. It is our ego pulling on us. I promise you this; if you focus on what is ahead of you and you let go of what is behind you, there is so much incredible success, both personally and professionally just waiting for you!

I have felt rejected in business, but I haven’t gotten over it. I wasn’t as successful as I thought I was going to be. Now I have gotten into another multi level marketing opportunity and when I started hearing the word no and getting objections, it has stopped me in my tracks and I haven’t gotten the motivation to start again.
Very sound advice Keri Murphy 🙂 You do such a great job. Glad to call you friend.
