Lisa’s advice is to be great in your lane. Don’t compare yourself and your journey to those around you. If you don’t discover your passion and vision until you’re 45, then great! That’s YOUR story! That is the path that you were meant to take! The key is to focus on your personal strengths and talents, and your vision will become clear. Once you have created your vision, it’s imperative to not wait for others to validate your vision. Chances are that is not going to happen! When you stop worrying about people validating your vision, you are then free to make it happen.

One of my favorite parts of this interview with Lisa was her take of fear. Lisa encourages us to use fear as fuel. This is not just a sexy cliche, but a lesson in learning how to live with fear, move with fear, run with fear, and leap with fear.

Don’t wait for the fear to dissipate.

This is such a powerful message. If we wait to evict fear before moving forward, we will be in a permanent holding position. Fear is always going to be present in some form. Our biggest challenge is to do just what Lisa instructed to do – to use that fear to fuel our vision!
