With just a few days till Christmas, I know many of us (including me) may be feeling the effects of a busy Holiday Season– frazzled and pulled in a million different directions.
But this week, as you frantically finish shopping, cleaning, cooking and shuttling relatives to and from the airport I want you take a “time out”-breathe!
What are you doing all this for? Isn’t this supposed to be “the most wonderful time of the year”?
My Christmas wish for you is to leave the to-do list and worries behind. Remind yourself of all the joy that surrounds you and has been a part of 2013.
The Holiday season only comes once; lets finish it with a little more “holly-jolly” and a lot less stress.
It is time to shift your focus and mindset. In this video, I offer 3 simple ways to make it a little merrier.
“Some of the secret joys of living are not found by rushing from point A to point B, but by inventing some imaginary letters along the way.”- Douglas Pagels via @Kerimurphy
It will be here and gone before you know it.
Ask yourself:
- What will I remember years down the road?
- Will it be the actual present? Or the excitement on face of the person receiving it?
- Will it be the perfect meal? Or the loved ones you shared it with?=
Today’s video will help you to relinquish the inner control freak and holiday perfectionist within and allow you to make creating memories a priority. After all, memories stay with us forever, not the disposable “stuff” we get and give.
Please share with us how you take time out to enjoy the season, what traditions do you have?
Thank you for reading, sharing and joining in the conversation on the Inspired Living Community!
Happy Holidays,
