My friend, Mindy Burbano-Stearns is one of the special guest panelist at the Oregon Women’s Conference taking place this week and I remember sitting down with her a couple years ago for one of my first Inspired Living interviews. If you’ve seen any of them recently, you can see just how far Inspired Living has come…but at the time all I had was the passion to bring my vision to life. When preparation meets opportunity, all you need is a little leap of faith!
Step away from fear…
And fully, thoughtfully, and intentionally move closer toward the life of your dreams.
Mindy’s foray into the media spotlight began with one “Cockadoodle-Doo.” Discovered by Oprah Winfrey while making animal calls as an audience member, Mindy found her true calling in the entertainment industry, leaving what she thought was a lifetime career as a dental hygienist.
Be inspired to live with intention with Mindy Burbano-Stearns Inspired Living Interview.

Inspired Living Interview: One Moment Can Change Your Life
Mindy Burbano-Stearns sits down with Inspired Living host, Keri Murphy as she shares her own story of preparation meets opportunity.
An impromptu appearance on the Oprah show, and Mindy’s uncanny ability to make remarkably real animals sounds changed her life.
(YES, I said animal sounds changed her life.)
OK, so maybe it wasn’t just the animal sounds, but her decision before the Oprah show to make a change. After a final nudge by her mother, she was selected to showcase her unique talent on air. Returning to Portland, Oregon, Mindy found herself riding the wave of success as she interviewed on television and radio stations across the United States and around the world.
This was merely a jumping off point for Mindy, she was able to set aside an unfulfilling career that paid more and ultimately follow on the path of her dreams.
For those of you who also have the burning desire to get out of their current job or situation in life and pursue the life of their dreams, Mindy offers one piece of advice “put yourself out there”.
Find a specific intention and act on it.
Write your dreams down on paper, so you can visually see where you want to go and then ACTUALLY do something about it. Start now and you too could find yourself six months or a year from now living the life you truly have envisioned.
