Fear Not!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. For me, it brought back so many memories of Easter egg hunts in the back yard and the fancy dresses that I was so excited to wear to church. I now get to be a part of that tradition with my 6 nieces and nephews and I absolutely love it!

Besides the reminder that I cannot eat candy like I used to, there was another powerful message I received this weekend and that is…FEAR NOT.

If you know me, then you know that I often talk about this topic…the importance of letting go of fear so we can really live the life of our dreams. As I sat at church yesterday the topic was “Alive” …that life is right now! You can either live in fear or you can live fully alive. How are you living your life?

So many people today are living by their fears instead of their dreams. Fear takes many different shapes in our lives; it can come in the form of anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. Did you know that in the bible there are 365 “fear nots?” That almost above all else we are not to fear. What would your life look like if you feared not? What would you be doing for a living? What hobbies would you pursue? What would you see or do?

If you find that fear is holding you back from fully living NOW, here are some simple steps you can take to let go of those chains for good!

1. Learn from those that are doing! Often times we are fearful of the unknown. Dive deep into personal development and model after those that are doing what you aspire to do, be and achieve.

2. Get out of your comfort zone!! When faced with the choice, most of us would rather stay in our comfort zone of mediocrity and complain about what we don’t have, than stretch ourselves to achieve what we want. Don’t let that be you…one little step leads to great strides.

3. Surround yourself with positive people that dare to dream! Most of us know we are the combined total of the 5 people we hang around most. If you are surrounding yourself with people who constantly live in fear then guess what? You will too. I challenge you to create a circle of influence that think and play big! This alone will change your life!

You are capable of so much more than you even realize. It is when you make the decision to step out in faith…and let go of fear that you create the life of your dreams. It is never too late, to Dream it. Live it. BE it!

Shine ON!!
