How You Can Take Your Business From Good To Great

Are you struggling to grow your business? Do you feel a bit stuck and are not sure what to do next?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think there are enough entrepreneurs out there telling us what is helping their business go from good to great! In this week’s ILV episode, I’m going to be sharing with you the top four tips that have helped us greatly increase our income and reach. 2017 was an incredible year for Inspired Living and I’m excited to share my knowledge with you, so that you too can take your business from good to GREAT!

The first tip I want to share with you, and one that might be obvious, but it’s probably something you’re not doing, that is delegating! When it comes to growing your business, there comes a time when you are tired of trying to do everything. You’re tired of answering emails, phone calls, sending out invoices, scheduling and the million other things you try to get done on a daily basis. And guess what?! You don’t have to!

Delegating is the one of the key things that is going to take your business from good to great. By making delegating a priority, you will go overwhelmed and exhausted, to a place where you are profitable and living a life of freedom. By creating a team to support you, you open yourself up to living the lifestyle you have always dreamed of. I have said this many times before, but the number one thing you can do right away, is create that list and delegate at least one or two things to someone else. I know it can be scary but the ROI can be instant. This gives you the time to do what you do best!

The second thing that has really helped us this year, is something that I’ve been doing for many years, producing my own live events. Prior to 2016, I took a few years off from doing large live events. I wanted to think of something that would really transform lives, and do something that would really inspire and transform others. When we’re in our zone of genius and doing what inspires us, than other people are inspired and they uplevel with you.

After much brainstorming and visioning, earlier this year, I hosted the first ever Brilliant Event. And let me tell you, it was indeed, Brilliant! I had the most brilliant women speaking beside me, my incredible team supporting me and an outstanding audience of women. It was truly a phenomenal event, and an awesome opportunity to serve more people. If you aren’t doing any live events right now, I’m going to encourage you to do one this year. It doesn’t have to be a huge event. Even if it’s a small seminar, workshop or an online class, make it a priority to schedule at least ONE live event. Here’s the thing, more people need to know about what you do! We’ve got to stop being the best kept secret! The more intimately people can get to know you, the more you can share, affect lives, and ultimately the more money you’re going to make.

The third thing you can do to take yourself from good to great, is to make yourself uncomparable! We’ve got to stop trading time for dollars. When you charge an hourly fee, it’s easy for people to start googling other people and competition, and before you know it they think they are comparing apples to apples, when in reality they are really are comparing apples to bananas. Make yourself uncomparable! How can you package something differently? Something new that we implemented this year, was offering some of our higher end coaching clients a one page website. This was an amazing value we were offering and something that no one else was doing. This one addition to the package we were offering our clients made us even more uncomparable. Think about how you can do things differently so that people aren’t comparing apples to apples. Doing this one thing alone, can truly change the profitability and the scale of your business!

The last tip is to niche down. What do I mean by that? When I started Inspired Living, we were trying to be ALL things for ALL people. We tried to be health, fitness, and relationships, because that’s what “inspired living” is, right?! Wrong! We actually made very little money that year. What I have found, is that the more niche down we get with our message and who we want to serve, the more people we actually reach. I want you to take a moment and think about your business model. Are you trying to help too many people? I know it sounds crazy, but if you can focus on that one ideal client, your business is going to grow quicker and bigger. I promise you that!

These are my tips, that if you implement, I can almost guarantee that your business is going to go from good to SPECTACULAR!

I would love to hear from you! Did this strike a chord with you? I absolutely love hearing from you, and when you are inspired and excited about your business and how you do it, you inspire others to do the same!
Thank you so much for watching and I look forward to seeing you next time!

Dream it. Live it. BE it!
