This week’s ILTV guest is one of the world’s most-requested motivational speakers, as well as media personality and corporate CEO whose global platform has reached and served nearly 30 million people. I am proud to introduce “my sista from anotha mista”, the fabulous Lisa Nichols!
Lisa is hands down, the most incredible storyteller I have ever met. She paints the most vivid pictures with her words and truly makes you feel something when she speaks. She has such a gift and I’m constantly inspired by the woman she is and the work that she’s does for our world.
Promise me, that you’ll take a few minutes out of your day to watch Lisa’s full interview.
She goes into detail about her story, how she got to where she is today and explains what “Inspired Living” means to her. Lisa’s definition of “Inspired Living” is quite possibly the best definition I have heard to date and literally brought me to tears. I know that you will be greatly impacted by Lisa’s words as well.
Lisa’s advice is to be great in your lane. Don’t compare yourself and your journey to those around you. If you don’t discover your passion and vision until you’re 45, then great! That’s YOUR story! That is the path that you were meant to take! The key is to focus on your personal strengths and talents, and your vision will become clear. Once you have created your vision, it’s imperative to not wait for others to validate your vision. Chances are that is not going to happen! When you stop worrying about people validating your vision, you are then free to make it happen.
One of my favorite parts of this interview with Lisa was her take of fear. Lisa encourages us to use fear as fuel. This is not just a sexy cliche, but a lesson in learning how to live with fear, move with fear, run with fear, and leap with fear.
Don’t wait for the fear to dissipate.
This is such a powerful message. If we wait to evict fear before moving forward, we will be in a permanent holding position. Fear is always going to be present in some form. Our biggest challenge is to do just what Lisa instructed to do – to use that fear to fuel our vision!
If you were not inspired by this interview, I ask that you check your pulse!
I can’t wait to read your comments below about how Lisa’s interview has individually touched your life.
Dream it. Live it. BE it!
